Window on the Other side

Darkness wouldn't know
let it be in
shadows of fire
let it blow.

Wait, there is a knock,
guess its his honey,
tangled curly tresses hide
the show, oh no!

Parched throats and crushed rose,
stars know the story,
of  twin elope, but I see
a window lit other side.

Hanging tresses and lonely eyes,
waiting for new honey
couldn't know how to
behold, take a breath lady!

And wait for more, its
rebound timing and not
the real show.
Shut the window!

So, 30 it is!

Hi !

Well, earth is rotating on its axis and so is life! It has always been fascinating to grow up fast when we were in crazy teenage. But then, once we hit thirty, suddenly we are reminded of the biological clock ticking fast and the only wish we have is to go back to our childhood.Relive innocence, relive unreasonable and unconditional love, relive beautiful moments (*nostalgic*).

But as a realist,I always look for contentment and happiness in every passing moment. I have seen people hiding their age and escaping "responsibility" angles, may be, because of some psychological fear. I want to share with all such people that it's absolutely beautiful growing up for many reasons:

1).One doesn't have to go through blatant and abrupt physical changes.
2).Thirty adds stability to hormones both biologically and metaphorically.
3).You are no more asking for money from your parents or spouse.
4).Space seems like a gift and not "ignorance" which we use to feel in our college days from our partner.
5).One feels good without phone.
6).You are no more bothered about the ugly tags that your "wannabe"friends add on facebook.
7).Facebook? existed once upon a time.
8).You will always have money in your wallet.
9).You will  marry for balance and not just for a fairy tale.
10).Heart breaks can be self regulated.
11).Birthdays take a back seat.
12).You can commit and erase your own mistakes.
13).Suicide seems immature act.
14). News becomes more entertaining.
15). You stop questioning god.
16). Fifty shades of Grey is an "ok" type movie.
17). You no longer crib.
18). You live by the theory "this too shall pass"
19). You stop correcting people.
20). You know the value of appreciation over criticism.

In any case one has more number of reasons to celebrate this new turn in life. So, enjoy life with little bit of grey, silver streaks touching your tresses by the law of nature.

 Hello !!!!!!!!!

Of course, "maid" makes the hottest topic these days and especially after marriage(yes, you heard me right, I got married...ahem!!) Well, right after marriage, more than honeymoon, these days we look for our "custom maid"(read honey). We want them to work for our convenience but, hey wait, now we work for their convenience. We mold ourselves for them to "suit" their schedule.

Sometimes, I feel they are better than the ones who are educated and have "safe" jobs for survival. They can always take an off without cutting off their pay and we the "working women" are at their mercy. I am surprised and would love to know who all are crying fpr  unemployment???!!! After colliding with such maids I feel unemployment is a myth. They simply say NO to what we feel "good opportunities". They are surving well and had been practicing their freedom of choosing "professionally" and that too at their disposal.

Well, on a tragically funny note I feel we need to have a pragmatic approach towards their tantrums. If we want to eat, wash and stay managed, we really need to customise our love for this queen maid. Please choose your maids wisely and then wait for them to make you feel "otherwise-ly"( you can laugh) . They carry high end phones and low end humanity. It's shocking to know they are even lacking basic sense of humanity and work like robots of corporate world. Quantity is key for them and of course, aalu matar can't be ignored, if her mood permits.
Come what may we all look forward to our custom "maid" full of customs and rituals of our Indianness.
Long live Custom "maid"

Guddi it's ok.

Love
Noor
